Friday night I was at work and received a page from the guard. Here it is 11:30 at night and I'm receiving a page?? Uh-oh, usually that is not good news when the husband calls your place of work asking the guard to get in touch with me so I can return his call. So, I called right back and Kevin told me that Jeremy was on his way home when he was involved in an accident.
Evidently, the roads were a little slick due to the fact that it had been drizzling. He lost control of his vehicle on the entrance ramp to the freeway hitting a light pole. The pole fell across the vehicle blocking all three lanes of traffic. He did bang his head against the drivers' side window. The paramedics showed up and checked him out and said he was okay.
Kevin showed up at the scene because Jer was scared and didn't know what to do. Kevin also talked to the police officer. He said Jer might have been driving a little too fast on the ramp, because the skid marks were 100 ft. long. Skid marks?? I guess Jer didn't know that when you are in a skid you don't use the brakes, but he does now! He was very fortunate that it didn't involve another vehicle or be more injured.
