Painful Stomach

"Remember when" stories of the family

The following happened shortly after the birth of Timothy Paul III, a Caesarian Section. I was very protective of my stomach.
Kathleen, aged 3+, was misbehaving and I told her, "I will have to punish you if you don't stop misbehaving."
At that point, Kathleen retorted, "If you do, I will punch you right in the stomach."
Cold chills went up my spine.
That ended any idea of punishment for Kathleen. What should I have done? What would you have done?
as told to Matthew and faithfully reported this Wednesday, 2/26/03

Kathleen, is this the Attila the Hun side of your usual aweetness that most of us have never been privy? Rita, you swam with Kathleen each night in your dreams and you never told?

No, I was just using all defenses at my disposal. Worked too! However, Mother finally retaliated, albeit unknowingly, at the hilarious "Romantic Steak and Champagne Dinner for New Parents" on December 13, 1984....story to be posted soon. I'm working on it!
