Oww! That hurt!!

I was doing extra activities in the yard today. Namely, trimming the hedge in front of the porch. I'm not certain of the name of the hedge, but it has a zillion tiny, green (would hope so) leaves. You can imagine the mess I had to clean up on the porch. I have a few extra items on my front porch which I've been meaning to put away. Such as...a couple of folded lawn chairs, pair of tennis shoes, car wash bucket, and a pet carrier. I was in the process of moving all these items to the other side of the porch when a swarm of wasps seemed to come out of nowhere. I ran quickly off the porch, but not fast enough because a wasp stung me on the back of my right calf. I went for aid from my better half. Kevin with a can of Raid sprayed the nest that was on the side of the pet carrier. Afterward, I was able to finish the task I had begun.

The last time I was stung was 22 years ago. I was cleaning the outside patio door of my apartment when a swarm attacked me. Again, it seemed they appeared out of nowhere. I sported three different welts from that incounter.

Do you see a correlation between the two wasp attacks? Both times I was cleaning something or another outside. Hmm...maybe I should quit cleaning outside all together. It is proving to be detrimental to my health and well being.
