Time Has Flown

I received the KarlShoebox CD this past week. I've spent part of my time checking out all the pictures and letters. By far, my favorite part of the CD is all the letters that Mother wrote to Leah while she was away in the Navy. I was a little disappointed there weren't more pictures of me below the age of 5.

Here it is Sat. night and it is a guys and a gals night out. Kevin, GC(his dad), and Jeremy went to Kay Yeager Coliseum to watch the bull riding competition, and Ashley and I went to see "The Core" at Sikes 6 theatres. As far as "The Core" goes I wouldn't purchase it on DVD for our collection. Sure, the visual effects were outstanding, but the story line was kinda weak and farfetched.

Finally...Sunday has arrived. Didn't do a whole lot today. We did watch "Ghost Ship". It was really a weird movie. The director does a pretty good job of hooking you into the movie within the 1st five minutes. Enough said...I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it but plans on renting it.

Shelbi's Profile

I had forgotten to mention that I can also add a profile to go along with Shelbi's picture for publication. Below is my final draft. Please feel free to comment and let me know if you like it or if it needs any changes.

My name is Shelbi Lin and I was born on Jan. 20, 2001. As you can tell I am a very spoiled Shih-Tzu female. I need and get plenty of attention. My favorite pastimes are playing tug of war with a castoff rag and chasing my little, blue and white soccer ball. When asked if I would like a treat I respond by turning circles. One thing you don't want to do is ask me if I want to go for a car ride. Trust me I don't and will immediately run and hide behind the couch. One thing is for sure...I will never turn down cuddling and a good tummy rub.

We had just returned from the groomers when I decided it would be a wonderful time to take pictures of Shelbi. The picture seen here doesn't do justice to her unique personality.

I'm Back For Good!

I owe Stepan a very big thank you for setting up and redirecting my blog to this new site.

I am so excited! Kevin is finally going to get the chance to finish remodeling our kitchen. I've ordered a Maytag gas wall oven and a tempered glass cooktop with sealed gas burners in white. I already have a fairly new Maytag dishwasher (less than a yr. old) and all that will be left to purchase is a new sink, venthood, and refrigerator. The latter will have to wait to be purchased at a future date since the old one is still in service. Kevin is building all the cabinets in red oak with melamine shelves. The lower cabinet doors will have raised panels and the uppers will be red oak with (hopefully tempered) blue, mirror coated glass installed. The kitchen floor is going to be half ceramic tile and half floating wood floor. I really need to find out what in hell is going on with my computer. I can't use my digital camera until I get the computer fixed. Soon I will take my computer in to have all the necessary files installed to get everything working again. I would love to be able to send pictures to my WebShot site so all of you can see the progress of the kitchen. More on this later...Making one of many trips to Lowe's Home Improvement for supplies.

Shelbi Is In The Finals

I've entered Shelbi's picture in an amateur photo contest online at Picture.com. You can use this link to access her picture. I am proud to announce that her picture has been chosen for publication in a high quality coffee-table edition titled, "Wandering Spirits." She, or should I say "I" have also advanced to the finals to be judged in the Spring. I can hardly wait to see if I've won anything for her picture. Even if I fail to win a cash prize, silver or bronze medal I will still be extremely thrilled to have her picture published in a book selling for $89.95. I'm very tempted to order the book at the pre-publication price of $69.95....Hmm, what should I do??
