John flew to Denver last week-end for his niece's wedding and spent the first night with Shanea. At breakfast the next morning, she said, "Dad, I have to tell you something." "Shanea," said the concerned father, "what is it?" "I'm pregnant!"
So, that will make two of us --- Cynthia and I --- who will lead our generation into more golden years. I'm not old enough, of course, to be a grandmother and am only too glad it isn't Courtney or Matthew who is blessing me with a baby.
Posted by Kathleen at August 3, 2003 05:20 PMPlease pass on our very enthusiastic congratulations to John--he'll be a wonderful grandfather! And I know firsthand that you'll be a great step-grandmother. I see some trips to Colorado in your future . . .
Posted by: Elizabeth on August 3, 2003 06:32 PMWow, when I saw the title of this post on KarlHub, I immediatelly wondered which one of the twins it was...
Congratulations grandparents!
Posted by: stepan on August 3, 2003 07:34 PMCongratulations to John and to you. Aren't you and John the same age? Which means he's to young to be a grandfather. It is a funny feeling when you actually are a grandparent and you know you've reached another level, but I can say without reservation that both Pat and I have found it to be a true joy. Bring 'em on!
