School, Work, and Fun

It’s hard to believe that this semester is almost over (i.e less than a month). My 4 classes are going well, and I just registered for 3 classes this summer. One class (Introduction for Theatre Arts) and 2 others (Chemistry Lab and Biology Lab). They are respectively in Summer Session 1 and Summer Session 4. You know what this means?! I have a summer break! I have never had this since I begun college. Even though I’ll be working 25-40 hours/week, that doesn’t matter. I get a break!

When I’m not taking classes this summer, I’m supposed to be one of the three internal auditors for the company. (The other people are the Vice President and our BP Hub coordinator). I think it’s kinda cool. We have 14 port offices around the United States, so I may have the possibility of flying to places like San Pedro, CA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA..etc. I’m really not sure what I am going to be doing, but for now, it’s cool to think that I could be flying to these places as a 21 year old. And then, I’ll have time to go to the river, chill, etc. on the weekends!

Although, I’m still really excited about the prospects of pharmacy. Drugs are cool!

Congrats Courtney. Be prepared. The hardest thing about traveling for work at that age is that car rental companies are loathe to rent to anyone under 25. I always found it ridiculous when I was your age...traveling on business and had trouble renting a car. I think Avis was the only company that didn't give me grief. I still prefer Avis today largely for that reason.

It may be different now though. I haven't had to rent a car as an Under 25 year old for awhile now.
